My daughter and I have been taking lessons together with Jon since October 2021. First of all, Jon is great with kids ; he is supportive, gentle, and makes learning fun. He also has a strong knowledge of composition and music theory, which is rare in a guitar teacher. We also appreciate Jon’s efforts to create a musical community: getting his students together for recitals periodically where we have the opportunity to showcase a piece we have been working on for a while. The recitals definitely increase our motivation to practice and give us a goal to work towards. Jon is skilled in variety of musical styles, from pop-rock to jazz to metal, to blues, and even in classical guitar, so whatever your musical interest, he should be able to help you to make progress.
